Accident e Black spot 7 Our Black Spot this month you all know well. It's on the main road from Dungloe to Loch an Iuir. On the approach into ~och an Iuir, you come off a good wide, straight road• alas not as fast as it used to be 0 ., due to severe subsidances most of the way from Dungloe. ~ Approaching the danger spot you yass a "road narrows" $ sign followed by the "Loch an Iuir" town sign and then ~ you come over a hump onto a dnagerous hairpin with a totally inadequate small yellow and black striped ~ 0 board with an arrow. There is no standard corner sign or double bend sign. There is a nasty drop over the ~ edge if you have not seen the striped board in time. ~ Current accident records prove that the warning for ~ this corner is totally inadequate, We need proper $ warning until such time as the Council carries out its next stage of development of this road. In the meantime take the corner at a speed at which to admire the beautiful view from this spot, Thank you Councillor Coll for taking up one of our Black Spots with the County Engineer. i.e. the Cross Roads near Curransport (Dec. issue).
