The Leader, Aibreán 1989

VIDEO CORNER ••••• 4 THE RUNNING MAN (18) Arnold Schwarzennagger It is the year 2019 which has a game show witha difference. People want blood not money. Schwarzenegger is accused of a crime he didn't commit, so he has a choice of prison or the game show. Not many have survived the game show but Schwarzeneg– ger hasn't done it yet. An imaginative and entertaining thriller. I do not advise so called wimps to watch it or it will only make you feel worse. A PRAYER FOR THE DYING (15) Mickey Rourke, Bob Hoskins, Alan Bates Martin Falloni is a terrorist fighting for a cause he believed in, but it was getting too much, innocent people were getting killed and he couldn't see his cause through the bloodshed. He goes to England to get a passport to escape to America, but he meets London Gangster Meehan (Bates) who wants Fallon to kill one more time in return for which he will get the money, passport, and a new identity- his key to freedom. It's ex– citing the whole way through as the movement wants his heart, the mob want his mind, the Police just his blood. It has all the ingredients of a good movie. CROCODILE DUNDEE II (PG) Michael J "Crocodile" Dunded, the typical Aussie hero: butch, brazzed and big– mouthed, is back. The adventure begins when his girlfriend Sue Charlton (Linda Koz– lowski) is being held hostage by Rico, a ruthless drug baron, he engineers a spectacular rescue mission, but there's nowhere to hide, so he takes "his woman" "Me Tarzan, you Jane" effort back to the bush, where he gets up to some serious stuff. It's great enter– tainment for all the family. Frantic (15) Harrion Ford An edge-of-the-seat suspense thriller in the Alfred Hitchcock tradtion from Roman Polanski. Doctor Richard Walker and his wife Sondra return to Paris fifteen years after their honeymoon to attend a medical conference. As Ford takes a shower, his wife receives a phone call and disappears. He waits, but she did not return. He be– gins to look for her to find the gruth behind his wife's puzzling diappearance. His only lead is Michelle - a beautiful, amoral, amateur drug smuggler. But she may just hold the key to the entire mystery.
