Some people collect stamps. Others coins. I know a man who has a large collection of old clocks. But Eddie Ferry collects cars. Beautiful old cars. When I met Eddie outside his gar– age and free-fit Exhaust Centre in Ramelton he proudly showed me this lovely old black Riley, registration num– ber IH 9403. But he has a garage full of classic and antique cars. And there's more of them outside his home on the outskirts of Ramelton. It is obvious that old cars are an obsession with Eddie. If they are not in perfect condition when he buys them he lovingly restores them to that state. He uses them for wed– ding hire and also takes part in vintage rallies and festival parades. The Riley pictured here is an R.M.A. model which has a one and a half litre engine and was registered in 1950 by Sam Roulstone of Lower Main Street, Letterkenny. Eddie bought her 23 years ago from Sam's son Stuart for the large sum of £15. She starts on the first turn and unlike the plastic and tin models of today is solidly built. Meet twins Gavin and Keith Ferry, Bun a Leaca, Gweedore. They're not identical, and have different interests as well. Gavin is keen on acting and recently played the part of HANSEL on stage while Keith is just mad about football. ~~~~~~ ~ ~Ginleyc ~ ~ V\{\ FALCARRAGH Coe~ ~ ~ '"0' ~ CO.
