Guth & Tuairim, Iúil 1981

IH\&ARAbT Over the last year or so a lot of people have said to us, "why don't you do a survey on the shops and supermarkets around here. They're charging whatever they feel like~" Well, now we have decided to do just that, but we want you the public to help us do the job. We have compiled a list of basic necessities, items like bread, butter, sugar, jam, etc. and we are looking for somebody in every area to keep a check on a shop over a period of time using this list. ~le will then present the facts to the public. If you are interested, write to "Survey", 11 Guth7Tuairim 11 , Doire Beaga. It is something that affects us alll Why not drop us a line. 11 An tEagartho~r" Ta suil againn go mbeidh eagran LUnasa amuigh i dtus na mfosa mar sin ba mhaith linn bhur gcuid litireacha go luath. While Anthony will be advising everybody to "go by bus, leave the driving to us", he himself will now be using two wheels to get from A. to B. N 0 he hasn 1 t bought a motorbike, but he was the lucky winner of a bicycle in a recent draw. And we believe he is something of an expert on cycling. Tessie Joe recently retired from Anagaire National School where she was teaching for a good number of years. She was well-liked by her pupils and all in the parish wish her a long and happy retirement. Well, the new Cope is making wonderful progress and the housewives are all looking forward to shopping in an ultra-modern Hypernarket. Could Tilllley" be the new Pat Quinn? "???"
