RO..r..D RU!I:lE.iW : During the months of 1980, that inter– related traditional group An Clannad, have played in concerts, at festivals, and at one night stands thr~ughout Europe. Now back at home they have just completed the first stage of their Irish tour, and in December they are back on the Irish roads again with a visit to Dublin, 3alway, and Belfast. With such a busy deadl i ne they were forced to re-list their American visit till the autumn of 81. On their new al~m recorded in Geroany, Maire, Ciaran, Pol, Noel and Padraig have been joined by another member of the. Brennan family, 18 year old Eithne who is feat~ed on ke7boards. A number of the tracks were composed by Maire and Ciara~, and the long-awaited album will be entitle 'Crann Ull', sadly no release date. Clannad appear in the Amharclann on Thursday JOth. SOUNDS ON DISC: Still no word of a new single from Margo, while Homespun re-issue more of her past hits under the title 'Country Girl'. As the title suggests a mixture of country'n'ballads from 'Lovely Stornaway' to 'Tomorrow Never Comes'. Letterkenny vocalist 'Hugh McLean sings Irish requests ' is also issued by Homespun, and featured are Rose of Moray and Letterkenny Town. This album was recorded while Hugh was with the Mighty Avons. John Kerr is to reco~l his big hit of 1972 'Three Leafed Shamrock' and will be issued early next year.
